Executive Director of Blood Donor and Sponsor Marketing

We are currently seeking an Executive Director of Blood Donor and Sponsor Marketing to join our team in Washington D.C. In this role, you will develop the recruitment and marketing strategy and provide sales support to achieve organization business objectives including achieving region blood collection goals, increasing and maximizing the blood donor base, and position the brand in line with corporate objectives. You will optimize the blood donor/sponsor lifecycle model, focusing on awareness, motivation engagement and ongoing reflection for both donors and sponsors, and ensure systems are integrated with marketing strategy. You will develop specific national initiatives designed to engage national/regional sponsors and donor segments, perform and analyze market surveys, identify customer satisfaction drivers, improve customer service for both blood donors and sponsors, and integrate programs across the organization. The Executive Director will create and facilitate training programs, design and implement annual marketing plans as well as long-term strategic plans, and work closely with other senior leaders and departments to develop new markets and build brand awareness. Requirements:
Qualified candidates will have a Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience. MBA preferred. A minimum of 15 years of progressive sales and marketing experience in consumer products or healthcare organization and a minimum of seven years of management/supervisory experience are required. Strong analytic, strategic thinking and program management skills are necessary. You must work well under pressure and have the ability to deal with multiple changing priorities while demonstrating a strong commitment and passion for the mission of the American Red Cross. This position requires the ability to travel.
